An email went out to our subscriber list March 18, 2020 letting you know we’re open and details about the precautions we are taking to keep you and your dog safe at Canine Campus. Here is a copy of the information sent.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We’d love to have your pooch come play with us!
A COVID-19 update to Canine Campus customers from Joelle Audette, Owner
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones during these uncertain times as we face the COVID-19 situation together.
We are inundated with information from all sides and some of those reports sound downright scary. Remember, dogs can sense our stress. Just because we are being told to use caution in social situations, your pooch may actually benefit from a group play-date right now. Consider bringing your canines in to unwind and burn some energy here at Canine Campus.
I am continuing to monitor the situation closely and wanted to take a moment to summarize some of the precautionary measures we have put in place for your safety:
- Non-touch payment
Our credit card pin pad is programmed to accept Google & Apple Pay. You are also welcome to enter your credit card information into your private profile in our online system K-9 Connect. We can process your payment on our end through a secure bank portal WITHOUT having any access to your credit card information. Best of all, you won’t need to touch anything in the store.
- Wait in your vehicle
If you’re uncomfortable coming into the building, our amazing supervisors will come out to your car to gather your pooch or bring them back to you at pick-up. Please allow extra time for this option and inquire if this situation fits your needs best.
- Continual sanitization of surfaces
In keeping with the highest standard of sanitation, we are constantly cleaning doorknobs, counters and all other surfaces several times a day. We are also spaying disinfectant in the air throughout the day and we have provided hand sanitization for your convenience.
For those of you who might have missed it, I recently wrote a blog post about the coronavirus and dogs, “What Every Dog Owner Needs to Know About Canine Coronavirus.” In it, I discuss how you can protect your dog during this human COVID-19 outbreak, as well as what you need to know about the canine coronavirus, CCoV.
I know it’s important for you to feel comfortable coming to Canine Campus so your dog receives the out-of-home care services he or she deserves. I want you to let you know we have no plans of closing Canine Campus at this time. We may adjust our hours of operation periodically, but at a very minimum, we will always be there from 7am-9am and 3:30pm-6pm each day. If you plan to drop off or pick up during other hours, please give us a ring just to be sure we will be there for you.
I am inspired as I see communities, our nation and the world coming together to fight this pandemic. We are a part of your community and are dedicated to supporting you through this unprecedented time. Please stay safe and know you can count on Canine Campus!
Thanks,
Joelle
